FAQs

Why choose video?
Professional videography is the least understood and most under appreciated part of wedding day planning. Your wedding day is probably the only time you'll have all of your family members and close friends in the same place at the same time. Video, when done properly, is an ideal way to preserve this memory. Unfortunately many couples rely on a friend or relative with a camcorder to capture the most important day of their lives. The combination of professional digital cameras, properly mixed audio, appropriate lighting and refined editing skills are far beyond the means of the average consumer.

Only video will allow everyone to relive your wedding day as it actually happened—to see you walk down the aisle, to hear your voices as you exchange vows and rings, to hear and see the toasts, the music, your first dance at the reception . . . and the chance to preserve the complete story of your wedding day.

Your wedding is one of the biggest events of your life and too often it goes by in a blur for both the bride and the groom. Nothing can capture the sights, sounds and emotions of your wedding video like moving pictures. When in the hands of a skilled artist, video can become your most valued keepsake.

What is your style?
As video journalists, we strive to document your wedding day as it happens. We maintain a low profile throughout the day capturing events as they unfold. Your finished video will be artistically edited and personalized. You can expect the final result to be natural . . . simple . . . elegant.

Are you going to use big, blinding lights?
Unless you're getting married in a cave we generally don't have to. Our cameras are equipped to shoot in low light conditions. With that said, this is a business of putting beautiful images on screen and that does require light, so if you are getting married in a location that is dark we may have to augment it with some lights of our own. But whenever possible we'll try to scout things out ahead of time and let you know.

Will you attend the rehearsal?
We attempt to attend all rehearsals. Valuable insight can be gained at the rehearsal on exactly how events are expected to unfold during the wedding ceremony. It also provides the opportunity for us to become acquainted with some of the key players. This is also the occasion to check important factors, such as lighting, optimum camera placement, audio requirements, and to ensure that our operation will be in complete compliance with the wishes of your officiant and the wedding venue.

When will you begin taping?
If you would like a Love Story, we would arrange a date in advance of the wedding to shoot the footage. Otherwise, we would typically begin setting up a couple of hours before the wedding ceremony. Additional coverage is provided with our Premier Package and can also be purchased separately. Please refer to our Wedding Packages list.

How long is the finished project?
We usually aim to have a one hour running time for the completed tape. However, we do try to give you back as much as possible and so, depending on the actual events of the wedding, the tape could typically be anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours long.

Any other points you can give me?
Make sure you hire someone you feel comfortable with, and someone who will give you professional advice, but who will in the end ensure that your wishes are reflected in the finished video.
